World’s most awkward interviewer meets Manchester Utd

Never have the Red Devils sounded less interesting

During their recent money-spinning excursion to Saudi Arabia, a top Arabic TV network managed to score interviews with the Manchester United team. Unfortunately, the footballers’ post-flight grouchiness, combined with the utter hopelessness of the interviewer makes for some less-than insightful lines of questioning.

Obviously there’s a language barrier to contend with here, but the interviewer should seek advice from all the UK journalists who have learnt to interpret Alex Ferguson’s unintelligible drawl over the years.
