WAG No. 20: Julie Kristine Bornemann
Miss LA Galaxy isn’t technically a WAG, but she can’t be far off
As David Beckham jets off to his adopted homeland to do some more of that fitness training he loves so much, he may be greeted by Julie Kristine Bornemann, a 21-year-old fashion student who is the reigning Miss LA Galaxy. She is the club’s representative in the Southern California community, who may be found attending home games, performing charitable deeds and boffing half the players spreading goodwill among the visitors and staff at the Home Depot Center.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Julie has always been committed to making the world a better place via the gift of being ridiculously good looking: she has been a Varsity cheerleader, a Miss Illinois USA pageant finalist (where she won ‘Best in Bikini’) and a Miss Hawaiian Tropic contestant. The only thing preventing her from becoming a full-blown WAG, however, is her fervent public spirit and lack of desire to make loads of cash quickly: her ambition is to have the first ever clothing line where 60 per cent of the proceeds go to charity. That ain’t the way to get a cupboard full of Louis Vuitton bags, honey.
If you wish to see more of Julie, head to Torrance, California next Saturday, where she’ll be putting in a public appearance with the team. If you haven’t racked up as many air miles as Becks, then perhaps you should wait for the film Penthouse, where she will star alongside acting greats such as Rider Strong (uh, that’s the kid who was once in Boy Meets World).
