Quote of the Day

“We’re as good as Arsenal,” says Ramos

Er, not so sure about that…

Following Arsenal’s sublime victory over European Champions Milan this week, the Spurs boss today insisted his side are of an equal quality:

“Arsenal were magnificent and deserved their victory over two legs. But I’m not jealous, we played similarly good football in the Carling Cup final.”

Does this mean we can expect Arsenal to crumble 4-1 to Wigan this weekend, mirroring the feat that your side achieved at Birmingham straight after their magnificent performance, Juande?

A poor article. The comparisions you make are those of a confused toddler.

“We’re as good as Arsenal” Would be an excellent title, except…he didn’t actually say that.

What he did say was that “we played similarly good football”.

Ramos is on drugs obviously. It was nice to see the so called ramos revolution return to the old spurs way at birmingham last weekend. Face it spuds, you’re a lost cause and no-one is ever going to change it

you are twisting it somewhat but let’s face facts -

the yids would get stuffed in the san siro by that milan team, just as they stuffed those fucking inbred manc turkeys in da semis last year.

spurs only won da carling cup coz it was the biggest game of their careers. didn’t really mean so much to those wankers from chelsea.

arsenal forever – FUCK EVERYONE ELSE – and Fergie sucks the Rock of Gibraltar’s COCK and coats his cornflakes with the Rock’s cum.

The Rock of Gibraltar’s cock? Huh?

That quote was taken from the Sun newspaper of all places, Juande never said anything of the sort. Get a life, pathetic journalism by the Sun newspaper once again.

he never said that and im an arsenal fan.
I actually like Juande, he seems like a very nice person

1 – As explained already – he didn’t say ‘as good’ he said ‘we played similarly good football’ (specifically in one match).
2 – Only a person of stunted serebral development could actually think the result against Birmingham actually had much meaning. The team tonight will likely have King and Woodgate back, while that against Birmingham only had one dedicated central defender – and that of only very limited experience. Birmingham are fighting for their Premiership lives, whereas Spurs had just achieved the one, overriding, goal to save a season that had started so disappointingly – qualification for Europe next year (with the added benefit of a trophy).

its nice that whoever runs this site puts so much effort into it. what a finely composed article, and fine comments about it. you are a disgrace.

Herdee string, you’re a muppet and you need to go back to school to learn proper English you Gooner halfwit.

  • arse biscuit // March 6, 2008 at 8:41 pm

problem you’ve got sean is that king and woodgate get to play 1 in 10 games a season what with their injuries and all. you lose when they are out so mr ramos better be spending big in the summer on their replacements
