The Premier League short XI

So tiny, even Shaun Wright-Phillips didn’t make the cut!

Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe

After hearing about the Brazilian dwarf team Giants of the North, we at The Spoiler decided to compile a list of Premier League players most suited to play the short-but-valiant side.

So here are the players least likely to trouble a defence when they go up for corners:

Goalkeeper Jimmy Walker (West Ham) 5ft 11in

Left-back Leighton Baines
(Everton) 5ft 7in

Right-back Tony Hibbert
(Everton) 5ft 8in

Centre-back Danny Gabbidon
(West Ham) 5ft 9.5in

Centre-back Andy Todd
(Derby) 5ft 10in

Left-winger Ross Wallace
(Sunderland) 5ft 6in

Right-winger Aaron Lennon
(Tottenham) 5ft 5in

Centre-mid Liam Miller
(Sunderland) 5ft 6in

Centre-mid Paul Scholes
(Manchester Utd) 5ft 7in

Striker Carlos Tevez
(Manchester Utd) 5ft 6in

Striker Jermain Defoe
(Portsmouth ) 5ft 7in

Note: Shaun Wright-Phillips was nudged out of the side by Aaron Lennon, who stands a full half-inch below him.
