In a huff

Oh no, Anelka’s at it again!

Ah bonjour, Mr Le Grumpy, long time no see

Just when everyone thought Anelka had broken free of his ridiculous sulky reputation, off comes the calming mask of maturity, and he’s at it again.

“When I came to Chelsea, I was told I would play in a 4-4-2 system,” he grumped to French sports paper L’Equipe. “I didn’t come here to play on the right or on the left.”

And that wasn’t his only gripe, after missing the all-important penalty, he suggested that perhaps it was a little unfair to send him on after 110 minutes without warming up and expect his to slot one in from a few yards away. Hence, he didn’t.

Welcome back, Monsieur Le Sulk.
