WAG No. 120: Brande Roderick
Well, Playboy models have to marry someone, don’t they?
The folks at Playboy magazine have been electing a ‘Playmate of the Year’ since 1960, meaning there are some 49 all-American ladies whose love lives have inevitably featured a professional sportsman in some capacity. One such beauty is 2001 Playmate of the Year Brande Roderick, who married former NFL Linebacker Glenn Cardez in 2007. You may recognise her from Baywatch, Starsky & Hutch and if you’re super cool, Beverly Hills 90210.
Brande, who was 34 a few weeks ago, hasn’t always picked the right vehicles to display her fine acting talents: she has appeared in Joey (a dire Friends spin-off), Snoop Dogg’s Hood of Horror (huh?) and Bollywood film Out of Control. The role of the latter was originally intended for Pamela Anderson, but even the lady who starred in the trainwreck that is Superhero Movie wouldn’t touch the script with a ten foot barge pole.
