But theres two clear points that no one can disagree on:

1 – Barton is a thug. When a wild dog attacks a child, how many chances do we give it before its put down? ONE. Barton’s had at least 4 or 5 chances by now to prove people wrong. This isn’t Newcastles fault. This isn’t Manchester City’s fault. IT’S JOEY BARTONS FAULT FOR NOT HAVING SELF CONTROLL.

2- I think Newcastle will suffer for standing by him. Theres talk of a 15 game ban for something he did as a City player. Thats extremely harsh on Newcastle, but what can the FA do? they can’t let it go unpunished. Another point is that Newcastle will suffer to attract CERTAIN players. Not all. But some will see Barton and refuse to go. Mikel Silvest already refused a move to Newcastle because of this. I know its only Silvest, but what happens if the next player put off joining Newcastle because of Barton is someone like Henry?
