WAG No. 149: Pamela Camassa
An Miss Italy finalist who’s also a WAG? Surely some mistake…
When he isn’t brawling with teammates, Roma and Italy midfielder Alberto Aquilani loves nothing better than keeping company with beauty pageant-types. Before he caught the attention of Miss Italy 2003 Francesca Chillemi, he stepped out with Miss World 2002 contestant Pamela Camassa.
Pamela – whose name is actually a type of wide-brimmed hat in her home nation – nobly boycotted the Miss World pageant in 2002 in protest of those societies who still carry out stoning executions, but she re-entered the Miss Italy competition in 2005, coming third.
Since then, she has made many appearances on Italian TV, most notably in the third series of Ballando con le stele (‘Dancing with the Stars’).
