I think most Asians abroad would find this very offensive because most of us have experienced the slant-eyed taunt at least once in our lifetime. To me, this wouldn't be a big deal if the Spanish had apologized over their ignorance, but instead, they seem to be proud of their ignorance. I think the reason why Chinese people(in China) don’t find it too offensive is that they’re not exposed to racism like Asians living in other countries do. I think most Asians abroad would find this very offensive because most of us have experienced the slant-eyed taunt at least once in our lifetime.

To me, this wouldn’t be a big deal if the Spanish had apologized over their ignorance, but instead, they seem to be proud of their ignorance.
