Man City plan £135 million Cristiano Ronaldo bid

Manchester United star expected to arrive in January

Manchester City’s new rent-a-quote owner Sulaiman Al-Fahim has revealed that the club will be bidding £140 million for Cristiano Ronaldo when the January transfer window opens.

He told The Guardian: “Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious.

“Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160million (£90m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more; I would think $240million (£135m). But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United.”

Citzens fans shouldn’t panic if this deal doesn’t take place though because moves for Fernando Torres, Cesc Fabregas and Thierry Henry are also being lined up.

I would love this guy to be a “fake shake”. Watching those cheques bounce would be fantastic.

wait… is that a pic of ronaldo wiping away the spittle from Sir Fergies famed “blow-drier treatment”? haha.

Why would Ronaldo leave United for City at this point in time? City don’t even look like they can qualify for the champions league this year. Ronaldo won’t go anywhere without it. In fact, most top players wouldn’t.

Before anyone says what about Robinho? Well he’s a cry baby, and spoilt over rated pre-madonna.

Come on now! This is just getting ridiculous! Does this crazy guy actually believe that he will get any of the above players? Let’s be serious!

They buy an overpriced yet talented (when he can be bothered or he isn’t drunk or shagging) Brazillian and think they can buy out the rest of the world’s footballing talent. Is it me or are the new owners failing to understand the idea of competition? I’m pretty sure all of this money could be used in much better ways in this world. Pathetic.

The term ‘biggest club in the world’ must be fact-checked.

Ronaldo might have said he wants to play for the BIGGEST club in the world. He never said anything about playing for the RICHEST club. Huge difference.
