The Spoiler’s Man City XI

No room for Ireland, Hamann, Bojinov, Kompany, Benjani, Ben Haim, um, Mills

Man City XI

Can anyone remember the days when Arsenal were in the Big Four and Man City were just a bunch of also-rans? Those were great times – feels just like yesterday doesn’t it?

But now look at them, Arsenal have a tissue paper midfield, and Man City are all over this year’s Premier League like a rash, baby! They have, of course, promised us a top four finish, then bigger things to come next year.

As an aside, how must little Wright-Phillips feel about leaving Chelsea, only to find himself back at Chelsea?

Gutted.

Your quick to write Arsenal off at any moment aren’t you?
Even as a Man Utd fan, I can see Arsenal having a great season, if anyone of the top 4 looks weak, it’s Liverpool. Benetez keeps buying strikers and plays them on the wing. They’ve got no width. The board problems. ETC ETC ETC

That formation is way too attacking, we’d get battered playing like that.

Your opinion is not welcome at city mate, and never will be as far as im concerned – you’ve probably never included us in a previous article and just because we’ve got some money u decide its your devine right to comment about it and to criticise us for becoming another Chelsea.

is get dunne the hell out of there and play kompany or ben haim instead

  • PETER GRIFFIN // September 2, 2008 at 10:42 am

i would swap johnson for kompany to be bit more defensive and then bring on johnson after 60 mins if we re winning. johnson doesn’t seem to care at the moment whilst kompany looks very happy to be here.

and mcfc 4ever is very correct… the 6 attacking players are far too attacking minded. SWP, elano, johnson, and petrov are attacking midfielders.. hamann and kompany would do a better job holding the midfield.

a rotation between SWP, petrov, ireland, and johnson would probably work best. We should try to play a system with jo and robinho getting as much 1st team football as much as possible, supported by two attacking wingers.

MCFC 4 ever – it is their right to comment about it, actually, just as it is yours to comment about them. Perhaps not a divine right, or even a “devine” one, but I think you’ll find anyone in this country is entitled to publicly discuss the Manchester City starting XI.

Ha ha ha – poor Man City fans, they’ve come over all shy and sensitive now that someone’s given them some money! MCFC 4 ever – you need to butch up, sweetie. Look at the crap Chelsea fans have to swallow for breakfast, dinner and tea just because Abramovich is minted – now it’s your turn!

  • RedbyDawn // September 2, 2008 at 3:03 pm

Carajo – Citeh fans have been through thick and thin and occasionally had some success since the club being founded. You cunts just got rich and further ripped the heart out of the professional game with your scattershot approach in the transfer market and arrogant-as-fuck manner.

Honest Abe – even the most deluded Gooner couldn’t possibly believe you’ll have a good season. Start worrying.

  • Carajo // September 2, 2008 at 3:24 pm

RedbyDawn – whatever makes you think I’m a Chelsea fan? Nothing so vulgar, dear. I like cricket. In fact the intensity of your response perfectly illustrates the degree of tedious abuse Chelsea fans have to endure, in many cases through no fault of their own.

MC4eva is such a sensitive sausage. haha

Man city may as well scrap their youth team for the next few years too.

Imagine competing for a spot in the main team against the likes of David Villa (a certainty in the January window) and Robinho.

Do you people reckon this will be like Jack’s Blackburn (boom and bust)?

  • honest abe // September 3, 2008 at 3:14 am

This team isn’t possible, Your only allowed 3 non EU players. Jo, Robinho, Elano, and Zabaleta can’t be in the same team.
