Imagine competing for a spot in the main team against the likes of David Villa (a certainty in the January window) and Robinho.

MCFC 4 ever – it is their right to comment about it, actually, just as it is yours to comment about them. Perhaps not a divine right, or even a “devine” one, but I think you’ll find anyone in this country is entitled to publicly discuss the Manchester City starting XI.

and mcfc 4ever is very correct… the 6 attacking players are far too attacking minded. SWP, elano, johnson, and petrov are attacking midfielders.. hamann and kompany would do a better job holding the midfield.

a rotation between SWP, petrov, ireland, and johnson would probably work best. We should try to play a system with jo and robinho getting as much 1st team football as much as possible, supported by two attacking wingers.

i would swap johnson for kompany to be bit more defensive and then bring on johnson after 60 mins if we re winning. johnson doesn’t seem to care at the moment whilst kompany looks very happy to be here.
