Video: Sky Sports News insults the people of Newcastle

Anti-Geordie email read live on TV

When Kevin Keegan’s position at Newcastle looked to be under threat, hundreds of faithful Magpies turned out at St James’ Park to voice their concerns. No such thing happened at Upton Park when Curbs made an impromptu exit yesterday, and a Hammers fan was quick to suggest a socioeconomic reason for this to the people at Sky Sports News. The embarrassed presenter clearly regrets reading out the email as soon it leaves his lips…

It’s a shame Newcastle fans can’t show a sense of humour when the reality is that both our clubs are in similar positions right now.

Laughed out loud when I heard this. Too true upminster, we should be kinda laying off each other at the moment…

    Sense of humour?????
Didn’t you see the hahahah’s in my post?
Yes both clubs are in a similar position but you have to expect some kind of response when some idiot says something like that!
Check out any website/forum etc and look for that kind of comment and the responses that fans have given to it, you’ll find that ALL fans love their club and will respond in a similar manner no matter who they support.
After all, YOU found the need to respond didn’t you?

  • beyethegreat // September 4, 2008 at 10:10 am

just heard it lads it is actually quite funny but bopthj clubs are in a similar situation the only difference is that newcastle want to keep our manager where as i dont think hammers fans are to bothered by curbs leaving

  • beyethegreat // September 4, 2008 at 10:24 am

also i think if you look at both clubs they are quite similar

    passionate fans
    good history
likes thier teams to play decent football
fans arent affraid t show how upset they are
both have suffered injury crisis in recent years
wwest ham has 4 ex newcastle players
dyer-brilliant player but spends more time with the physsio than on the pitch

    parker good but lacks creativity

bellamy good but you have t question his attitude ( for some rerason i think the hammers are saying joey barton) i would have to say good point

    bowyer similar to bellamy

Aye it was a good ‘un but not entirely acurate given that London has the highest unemployment levels in the country-percentage wise.
It sounds like something a Geordie would do to get a laugh so can’t complain really hahaha.

if anyone actually saw the protests you’d see it was the Junior Magpies, lol, they were all charv kids, as the day went on they got older

WOW. You’ve got to hand it to thespoiler.com, How many other sites would make an article over the opinion of one West Ham fan?
And WOW, who’d have thought the opinon of one West Ham fan’s two minute email would be the start of a flame war between the North and South?
    WOOOOOW.

Let’s all hate the Midlands equally!

Its not about north and south anymore, we hate the cockneys at our club more than any other, and i personally have a great distaste for a lot of northern teams, boro, sunderland, man u, man city, liverpool, so i don’t see a need to squabble over this, i was at the stadium through the day, even got on telly, but i am a student, so theres my excuse haha

It’s common knowledge, that Sky Sports presenter is a Sunderland fan.
