Vote: Should Manchester Utd fans give Cristiano Ronaldo a frosty reception tonight?
Tricky winger destined for a mixed reception upon his return
Should he make it off the bench, Cristiano Ronaldo is convinced that Manchester Utd fans will resume their adoration of him the second he touches the ball in tonight’s Champions League tie with Villarreal. However, he ought not to be so self assured – certain sections of the Old Trafford faithful booed Rio Ferdinand when he stalled over signing a new contract, and many have not hidden their disappointment over the Real Madrid transfer saga.
So, should the fans let the young Portuguese know they are dissatisfied with his summer mercenary tactics, or they resist the urge to boo one of their own at all costs? Let us know with a vote and comment below.
