Joyless Victory
Why didn’t Dimitar Berbatov celebrate his goals last night?
Manchester Utd star subdued after Champions League brace
Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov isn’t usually a beaming ray of sunshine, but you can usually count on him to convey some expression of delight after scoring. After breaking his Manchester Utd duck in Denmark last night, however, he looked like a child who had just been told his puppy has been run over, and he barely mustered a smile when he bagged a second.
So why no celebration? Is he ashamed of his anonymous start with the Red Devils? Or is he just too cool for school?
Let us know your theories below…

I think this was definitely more relief than anything else of having got off the mark for Man Utd. Also, I think he was embarrassed to score the first goal as it was a howler by the defender!

I Don’t Think That There Is A Reason !!
Rooney Didn’t Celeberate Too
Maybe Becouse It’s ‘ Aalborg ‘

Yeah I think it’s cause the first goal was the defender’s fault, rather than his own touch of class. And also the relief thing, especially after missing an open goal in the first half. And yeah, also because it’s Aalborg.
No doubt come Saturday tea-time when he puts 3 past Rovers he’ll be racing in joy all over the pitch like Tom from Tom and Jerry only Jerry-less.

Eyebrows were raised when Berbatov did not celebrate his first strike for United, but the classy hit-man says the reasons for his lack of celebrations were because he was angry and embarrassed about missing an earlier opportunity.
“I didn’t celebrate my first goal because I was still angry and disappointed with myself over the first one I missed. I was embarrassed,” noted Berbatov.
“For a guy who has been bought for all this money, I must take these chances so that is why I was angry.”
