It's not so much the fact that he's left us in the lurch, it's the way he goes about things and the blatant lies. He is the biggest ego in football management, more so than Mourinho, and I just hope Spurs are a big enough club to massage that ego and shut him up.

Harry is the right manager to get Spurs back in the premier league, and its good for his career to move on, especially as Pompey are obviously struggling financially. The real stabbing though will come in January when Diarra, Defoe and Glen Johnson get poached...

How can anyone seriously say this isn't a smart hire by Spurs; they needed a proven experienced manager with a track record of winning, success and consistency.

If Alan Curbishley had done this to Portsmouth, he would be vilified but because Redknapp has his cheeky chappy persona and gave thousands of interviews straight after moving to keep the papers and TV folk onside, he receives favourable coverage and some Portsmouth fans buy it. Years ago it was Bonzo, now Storrie, Adams, Campbell and Crouch have been ditched now that they serve no more use to him.

I hope you go for either Curbs or Gary Johnson, they will see you alright.

its just his record of turning clubs around I'm sure if any club with a footballing history like spurs that was in comuting distance came in for him where he would be given funds to produce a team that would be able to compete for the title he would of taken it . Like players have goals so do managers .Its moste likely the first time this has happend to harry he is a gentlemen i once watched him sign autographs for kids while trying to watch his son play for england he didn't turn away any of them .portsmouth should be thinking how fortunate they were to of had him has thier manager at least he never left you stuggling and i'm sure he found it a very hard decision and one of the first results he'll look for is portsmouth.

Harry Redknapp has done what most people would do in any given situation, and that is take a job that he feels is a last chance to have a big job.
Sure, everyone feels let down and rightly so.
He's gone for the money and glory, no doubt about it and shows that he is only looking after himself and his family financially.
As per the comment above, not only is it time to move on, it's time to move onwards and upwards.
I just don't know if he'll come back tomorrow to collect his freedom of the city?

real portsmouth fans know they have been set in a very good position from the redknapp years and are a top EPL side ....so to get the right new manager and maintain the momentum is key, jordan and adams also instrumental,
its not an insult to portsmouth fans but after many years its a time for moving on for Harry
and Spurs .thats football
