Roy Keane wants to return to management
Will anyone require the former Black Cat’s services?
Unemployed Irishman Roy Keane has been spending his free time navigating an Aston Martin using only the power of his awesome beard, but has also found time to release a statement via the League Managers Association outlining his intention to return to the beautiful game:
“I have experienced and learnt a tremendous amount in the last 27 months and enjoyed the rigours of being a manager,” Keane said in a statement.
“I look forward to building on those experiences and, sometime in the future, returning to management.”
Keane helped Sunderland rise from the lower reaches of the Championship to the Premier League, and has a win rate of 42 per cent – better than that of potential replacements Alan Curbishley (39.43 per cent) and Gordon Strachan (34 per cent in English football).
Would you want him to manage your club? Blackburn fans, do you believe he would make a good Paul Ince replacement? Let us know below…
