If anything, weakening Charlton helped Liverpool overtake them which obviously wasn't good because they knocked Chelsea out in the semi-finals the next season. So maybe you could argue that Liverpool won the Champions League in 2005 because of Scott Parker! Llunga, Chelsea were third and nine points clear of fourth-placed Charlton when Parker signed.
