They obviously do not know that loans are common in the rest of the world, often a good move for the home club if an otherwise valued player is in a spell of poor form either technically or mentally as Beckham has been the latter part of this season. Also missing is the question of how playing for a non-rival club can be considered such. I do believe people should back up their commitments and Beckham has made one to LA, but with athletes there is the short career problem. With MAYBE only two years at best that Beckham might be able to play at top flight, it is harsh to oppose his leaving MLS. Most of us thought he should have signed for Milan when he got the offer when leaving Madrid and suspect he didn't realize exactly what playing in MLS would be like. I guess any fan of the sport would prefer to see a player where he can best perform -- if he still has the game Milan squad would tempt anyone...we'll see if he can fit in, and if the question really comes up. Why would getting him for three months will be bad? If you really worried that he would mess everything up, than 3 months is more than ok for Milan. Plus, it's not like he will be guarantee a playing time while he was there. He just wanna train with the first team..if they give him a chance on the bench than that is more than good to him. And you are really ungratefull person..at least he can provide some stand in for your injured players..maybe for Gattuso'a place one or two times. And believe me, Milan need a decent right winger. The Beckham Experiment is over, it didn't work (sadly), though it did help a little. Maybe if we had a few more Beckham's come through on a regular basis it would help, but if soccer takes hold in the US it'll be done slowly. Beckham himself won't help anymore so he should just do what's best for him, which is to stay at a big European club and let the next star in line go to the MLS.
