Arsenal to launch £20m bid for Andrei Arshavin
Zenit star touts London move, upsets some commies
With the news that Cesc Fabregas will be living la vida Darren Anderton for the next three months, rumours that Arsenal will uncharacteristically break the bank to bring in Andrei Arshavin are in full swing.
The Euro 2008 sensation was a Spurs target in the summer, but it looks like he could be on his way to north London after all. Zenit general director Maxim Mitrofanov told Radio Echo Moskvy last night:
“The price tag for Arshavin is £20m and we are hopeful that Arsenal will make such an offer soon.”
It’s also been reported that Arshavin visited the Tottenham and Arsenal training grounds last week. Whether the Professor coughs up enough money to pay for an entire squad of diamond-in-the-rough French youngsters remains to be seen.
According to Football365, Arshavin’s strong desire has to earn shitloads of money from whoever will pay him the most come to England has upset his local communist party. The whiney lefties said he has caused them “shame and disgust” for “displaying for sale his body for many months in front of covetous Western clubs.”

Is he the lovechild of Arsene Wenger and Sandi Torsvig? He certainly hit every branch.
