Accumulator bet falls short thanks to Wenger’s men
If there are any Arsenal fans out there feeling sorry for themselves after witnessing countless inconsistent performances this season, spare a thought for Paul Greenwood.
The football fan placed a £10 accumulator on the Boxing Day fixture list, and thirteen of his fourteen results came in accurately. The only result that didn’t go his way was at Villa park, where the Gunners failed to grab three points. To make things worse, Greenwood had originally backed winning Manchester Utd, but instead put his faith in Arsenal at the eleventh hour.
If Arsenal had pulled off an away victory, the punter would have walked away with £795,000. Ouch.
