nearly all the refs give everything to man utd,the f.a are bias to them too,they are scared of that intimidating ferguson, its a disgrace and been going on for years now,video replays have to come in

Gotta love football for splitting opinions!

I think the first goal was offside but can see why it wasn’t given. It was very tight but I’d still be annoyed if I’d be on the receiving end

I definitely think it’s a red card for two reasons..first got both feet off the group which means he’s not in control of the tackle, secondly he’s gone in with his studs and landed on the leg. If Vidic has his foot on the floor it could have been a lot worse

The penalty? Very harsh i thought but after seeing the replays i’m still not 100% if it hit his head or not

and the villa penalty? Soft, yes but still a penalty as he was never going to win the ball

what do i know though…i’m just a lowly Walsall fan

It all evens itself out over time. But the latest incident is always the most furiously argued. Red card was probably fair, penalty wasn’t really, but United deserved to win. Southampton can’t possibly suggest the only reason they lost was the referee. Unlike Gillingham and the soft pen for Villa

this would be the same LEEDS born Mike Riley ..the same LEEDS supporting Mike Riley who sent off Ronaldo last season for nudging a defender..the same Mike Riley who disallowed a goal for Rooney last season..the same Mike Riley who ignored blatant penalties for United in THREE games last season …..

Riley was dreadful yesterday. Every decision went to Man Utd. He protected the thoughout he whole game.

No bias in your comments then! You didn’t even mention that the first goal should have been ruled out for offside. If the ball is in open play, a player has the right to go for it.Vidic only got close to the ball after Patterson had kicked it, with his boot – a common even in football. Maybe United should spend a few weeks in the Championship, then you’d see how football tackles are made when over-paid nancyboys are
not protected by the likes of Riley for rolling about in their own egos!
