Is Rafa Benitez about to leave Liverpool?
Bookies slash odds as punters pile on Rafa exit
Rafa Benitez’s frosty relationship with the powers that be at Liverpool appears to have taken a turn for the worse, if recent activity on the betting market is to be believed.
Today, Skybet have slashed the odds on Rafa not being in charge at the start of the 2009/10 season to a lowly 2/5, while William Hill have suspended their ‘next manager to go’ market following an influx of punts on the kettle-headed Spaniard.
Posh-sounding William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams told Football365: “We would be very surprised if Rafa is still the Liverpool boss by midnight on Sunday.”
Is Rafa about to depart Merseyside? Are you one of the zillions of people who placed money on his exit this morning? Let us know with a comment below.

Get the Yanks out, they have no money to consistently buy big players on a seasonal basis, our rivals are doing that, if we dont…how do you expect us to win the league?

Well, that doesn’t look like happening now! Was it just a publicity run for the bookies? That would be a bit rich given how important the game was for Liverpool… Not that it mattered in the end!
