Chelsea linked with summer move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Inter striker wants to prove himself in the Premier League

Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Jose Mourinho’s claim that Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the best player in the world was left looking silly when the Swede again failed to deliver in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Ibrahimovic is reportedly eager to prove the English press wrong following criticism of his performances against Manchester United and has supposedly set his sights on a summer move to a Premier League team.

When quizzed about his future, Ibrahimovic said: “After the end of this season we’ll see what happens.” Mourinho has previously said that if the striker asked to leave, he wouldn’t stand in his way and should that happen The Independent expect Chelsea to be at the front of the queue.

Zlatan has carried Inter by himself the last 2 seasons, scoring loads and setting up more opportunities for teammates than any other striker I’ve seen. But being that dominant, it’s not too difficult for the big teams to mark him down as there’s no other real threat. Seen Ronaldo playing for Portugal recently? Without the strong backing he enjoys in United he doesn’t achieve anything. Even the best players need proper support.
Lots of people in here seem sort of brainwashed by (british) media. They should really watch some games instead…
