Chelsea could sell three stars to Inter in return for Ibrahimovic

Italians may sell Ibracadabra for outrageously inflated price

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

As we told you yesterday, Inter Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a Chelsea summer transfer target. However the Swede – who plays brilliantly in every single game except the ones The Spoiler watches – will be very costly if press reports are to believed.

According to Italian daily Corriere della Sera, Internazionale will demand £80m for the man whom Martin O’Neill called “the most overrated player in the world” during the World Cup.

That kind of cash is likely to exceed the Blues’ summer budget, but Inter may accept some players in return. The Italian paper believes the Serie A leaders are interested in Ricardo Carvalho, Michael Essien and Jose’s former lover, Didier Drogba.

We can’t see all three players heading to the Serie A leaders, but there’s a decent chance of Drogba heading to the fashion capital if Guus Hiddink departs in the summer.

    I’d love to see this happen, but surely there’s no way Chelsea would sell their 3 only good players in order to buy one over-rated muppet.

    Agreed. Especially not Essien. I can see Chelsea losing out on both Drogba and Carvalho, but three players (especially when considering one of them would be Essien) is ridiculous by any standards. If there is a third a player, it will most likely be a reserve.

    essien > ibrahimovic
    drogba > ibrahimovic
    carvalho >= ibrahimovic

    how about they give ibra + 2 of those useless defensive midfielders mourinho is collecting at inter (say, 2 of muntari, ballotelli, vieira, etc…) for drogba?

    Ibrahimovich wouldn’t be able to adapt to the Premiership in my view and then he isn’t young enough to be able to run around the park.As for him being replaced with someone if indeed it does happen,then Essien wouldn’t be on the list.Chelsea won’t let go of him for nothing!
