Ramon Calderon claims Real Madrid have a galactico lined up for the summer
He doesn’t even work there any more but he still won’t shut up
Despite resigning from his position as Real Madrid president in disgrace three months ago, Ramon Calderon has still somehow found a way to reignite the Cristiano Ronaldo transfer saga.
Calderon cryptically revealed that he had arranged a deal to bring a world-class player to the Spanish capital before leaving the club. He said:
“I can’t give any names. What I can say is that one of the best players in the world, thanks to Ramon Calderon and difficult and laborious negotiations that having been going on since last year, is already formally a Real Madrid player, subject obviously to him being able to sign the relevant contract.”
Ronaldo is understandably the name everyone is mentioning although, if Calderon is telling the truth, it’s hard to believe Manchester United would have agreed to anything. A more plausible candidate is perhaps David Villa, whose club Valencia are far more likely to be open to offers.

frankly this man is a joke and has been bringing the game into disrepute for far too long. He IS everything that is wrong with football.
You can’t just go around claiming that you have agreed deals with players that are none existent. I would be inclined to disregard his comments until the summer…
