Tottenham and Chelsea join race for £30m Eto’o, Boro to dump flop striker

The latest transfer gossip, rumours and damned lies

Samuel Eto’o

Samuel Eto’o to Manchester City, Tottenham or Chelsea

Less than a week after the Cameroonian was reported to have turned down City’s advances, Spanish sources claim they will be offered his services for around £30m. The Daily Mail claim Barcelona president Joan Laporta is currently in London seeking a buyer, suggesting Tottenham and Chelsea are also chasing.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: With just a year left on his contract, it seems clear that Barcelona will shift the striker, and the Premiership appears to be his next port of call.

Afonso Alves to Benfica
Regardless of whether Middlesbrough manage to beat the drop, The Sun say Alves will be making his way to sunny Portugal in the summer.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: After just ten league goals in exchange for a £12.7m transfer fee, Boro are probably itching to cut their losses.

Arda Turan to Manchester City, Arsenal or Tottenham
Goal.com say the Galatasaray left winger is being chased by City, Spurs and Arsenal. Bayern Munich and Juventus, however, are said to be leading the bidding war.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: It’s clear Turan is so hot right now, but efforts to snare the 22-year-old may be in vain. He says:

“I was born in Istanbul and I have always supported Galatasaray.”My dream is to end my career here and wear the captain’s armband. I would only leave if the club told me that my departure was necessary to balance the books.”

    @ Fat man

you have no idea what you are talking about.. Eto is not fit to lace the boots of my special striker Adebayor or as we call him in training “Drogba Lite”

Sure Eto is quick, but so am I when chasing down some unknown french wonderkid.. oh and cheese.
