However this is exactly the way the big sports leagues work in the good old USA even down to the merchandising. Indeed Jerry Jones took the Dallas Cowboys out of part of this agreement as he didn't understand why if he sold a million shirts - he should subsidise another team that sold 80k. Therefore, I have to ask exactly how will giving West Brom a million from Chelsea's UCL campaign will help them do anything other than go back and forth between the Premiership and Championship?
