Real Madrid track €70m striker, Chelsea linked to £5m goalkeeper

The latest transfer gossip, rumours and damned lies

Fabian Assmann

Fabian Assmann to Chelsea
Goalkeeper Assmann – whose WAG Melina Pitra happens to have a very nice, er, personality – has been linked with a £4m move to Stamford Bridge by the Argentinean press.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: Such an offer would almost certainly be snapped up by Assmann’s current club Independiente, but the move will probably depend on how much faith the next Blues manager places in Petr Cech.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Real Madrid
Despite his proven ability to remain completely anonymous in big games, Real Madrid remain interested in the Swedish striker. Tuttosport claim he has put his home in Milan up for sale, while Gazzetta dello Sport say Internazionale will let him go if an offer of €70m or more comes in.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: With so many other big money targets higher on their hitlist (Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Xabi Alonso, Cesc Febregas, David Silva) we find it hard to believe Madrid will want to spend this much on Ibrahimovic.

Joe Ledley to Everton
Wigan and West Ham missed out on the Cardiff midfielder in the last window, and The Mirror claim Everton will beat rivals Stoke to land his signature.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: The Toffees tried to sign him last year for £3.5m, so this improved offer could be enough to finally bring him to the Premiership.
