Transfer Talk

Kaka shuns Chelsea, Madrid ‘agree’ Alonso deal, Manchester City lead race for Tevez

The latest transfer gossip, rumours and damned lies

Carlos Tevez

Carlos Tevez to Manchester City
The Daily Mirror believe the Argentinean will move to the blue side of Manchester, as the Citizens are willing to offer £32m and a helluva lot more first team football than their red counterparts. Liverpool and Chelsea are also said to have reached his asking price, but City are runaway favourites for his signature thanks to their, er,  mountains of cash.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter:
A move abroad may be looking less likely, but there’s still a chance he will stay at Manchester Utd instead of choosing a rival Premier League team - The Telegraph this morning claim Utd are now willing to agree to the deal they already agreed two years ago.

Kaka not going to Chelsea
The crafty Brazilian has been subtly hinting at a move away from Milan for some time, but he will not be turning out for Chelsea next season, say The Times. The broadsheet claims his father and agent Bosco Leite met with Roman Abramovich while he was in Milan luring Calro Ancelotti to West London, but his powers of persuasion could not penetrate the one who belongs to Jesus.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: We’re willing to bet a Wagon Wheel and a Twix (both fingers) that Kaka will sign for Madrid this week.

Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid

The Daily Mail are reporting that Liverpool have ‘agreed’ to take £22m from Madrid in exchange for their Jason Bateman-alike, making him Florentino Perez’s first new signing in his second term as El Presidente.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: We’re not convinced this deal is set in stone, but we suspect it will be confirmed after Kaka is unveiled.
