All fourstar said is that Manchester City won’t win the league this season. He’s not saying they never will, he’s not saying they won’t finish in the top four – just that they won’t win the league.

I don’t see how you City fans are taking such great offence to that, considering you came tenth (40 points off top) this season. City fans have always been a good bunch but the takeover seems to have made you all paranoid and angry, when you should be delighted.

And there’s nothing wrong with p*ssing off Chelsea fans!

Look, I am delighted that the sleeping sky-blue giant of Manchester has awoken. Good luck to you. It would be great for there to be more than four ‘big’ clubs in the Premier League. But your man Mike there was suggesting that people bet money on City winning the league, next season. I was suggesting, in turn, that this was not realistic. As for squealing with envy, do me a favour. Look at the stick Chelsea got when they effectively ‘bought’ the title. They all said they didn’t care; it was a Premier League title and they’d waited fifty-odd years. But deep down, they really wish they could have done it differently.

As for money, I am currently laying City on Betfair at 30/1.
