TRANSFER TALK

Carlos Tevez has finally made a decision, AC Milan ignore Emmanuel Adebayor

A further helping of transfer gossip, rumours and damned lies

Carlos Tevez

Carlos Tevez to Manchester City
Goal claim to have heard from an unnamed source that Tevez has chosen Man City over Chelsea and that the deal will be finalised next Monday, which is when Cristiano Ronaldo is scheduled to be officially unveiled at Real Madrid.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: Confirming the capture of Tevez on the same day that Ronaldo is presented at the Bernabeu would be City’s way of firing out a warning to their neighbours that the tide is turning.

Luis Fabiano to AC Milan
Emmanuel Adebayor is no longer even a secondary target for AC Milan, who have chosen to chase Confederations Cup top-scorer Luis Fabiano after being knocked back by Wolfsburg’s Edin Dzeko.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: The Sevilla striker only scored eight goals in 24 league games last summer but impressed with Brazil. The fact he is three years older than Adebayor makes him the Milan pensioners’ natural choice.

Andre Santos to Roma
Serie A isn’t in a great state right now – Inter Milan are dominating, star attraction Kaka has left for Real Madrid and nobody outside of Italy cares much about his successor Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Brazil left-back Santos is so eager to move on from Corinthians though that he said: “I would run to Italy!”

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: Santos gave a good account of himself in the Confederations Cup and Roma are interested in signing him to replace the supposedly Barcelona bound John Arne Riise.
