The tabloids claim Alonso is unhappy that Benitez tried to replace him with Barry last summer. Why would a player that wants to leave a club (he's made his desire public now) be reluctant to send in a formal transfer request exactly? Also, why does he feel disrespected at Liverpool? He starts, gets paid, and all that jazz at a top four club in the EPL. Unless he has always wanted to play for Madrid (or now does because of the sex appeal it carries again). I just wonder what Rafa could have done to disappoint him so much.
