Barca agree Ibrahimovic and Eto’o swap deal, Spurs target another Real Madrid striker

The latest transfer gossip, rumours and damned lies

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Barcelona
Spanish paper Sport believe the Catalonians have already signed the over-rated Swede for €40m plus Samuel Eto’o and Alexander Hleb on loan. Joan Laporta and his cronies reportedly reached an agreement at around midnight last night.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: The rest of the Spanish press are saying the deal is imminent rather than complete, but it looks like it’s happening. Inter won’t be detterred by Eto’o's greed as Mourinho loves him almost as much as he loves Drogba.

Alvaro Negredo to Tottenham
Determined to sign some sort of Real Madrid striker this summer, Spurs are set to shell out £15m for the 23-year-old. Spanish paper AS say a deal based around a four-year contract will be complete within 48 hours.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: Looks like Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko have another reason to pack their suitcases.

Adriano to AC Milan
Despite leaving Internazionale high and dry amidst a mysterious bout of depression, the Flamengo striker thinks he can stroll right back into a Serie A first team:

Above all, I am keen on the 2010 World Cup and then I will think about returning to Europe and joining a big team.”Yes, it could be Milan because I would have no qualms accepting a deal from such a big club like the Rossoneri.”

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: Milan would have to be crazy to sign a man who has shown no evidence of mending his errant ways.

Good deal for Zlatan and Eto’o! The one got his wish to leave Inter and the other the wish to play for a Champions league club. What else to say! And by the way, great salary deals too. For the one, 12 million euros a year and the other 13 million euros a year. Great deal for the clubs too! Mourinho got the attacker he has been seeking since his days at Chelsea. Barça has finally gotten rid of the tumultuous Eto’o notwithstanding the great talent he is! I hope English clubs take this lesson on how to conduct professional football transactions by learning from the Italians and Spanish.
