Kaka’s wife will cure Madrid’s evils by becoming a pastor
Caroline Celico to bring Brazilian church denomination to Spain
While Kaka keeps La Liga from becoming a godless enterprise this season, his wife Caroline Celico will try to spread the Holy word through the streets of the Spanish capital by becoming a pastor.
Caroline and Kaka were married by the Renascer em Cristo (Reborn in Christ Church) in 2005, and in the video above, the Real Madrid star’s better half is inducted into the Evangelist denomination by church founder Sônia Hernandes. While embracing her young son Luca Celico Leite, Caroline explains her intention of bringing the Brazilian denomination to Madrid:
“While Dad is scoring goals, we will crush the head of the devil.”
Continuing with this vaguely terrifying tone, she says:
“Adolescents in this world are only about prostitution, smoking drinking and drugs.”
And before making this incredible sweeping statement, Caroline provided a religious rationale for her husband’s grotesque transfer fee:
“In times of crisis, the money must be somewhere, and God brought it into the hands of Real Madrid to hire Kaka.”
Caroline and Kaka are obviously extremely dedictaed to the Renascer em Cristo church, but the organisation is never far from controversy. Church leader Sônia Hernandes was imprisoned in 2007 for smuggling cash into the USA, and the Brazilian government are currently looking for her on grounds of tax evasion. Kaka himself was questioned by authorities for allegedly donating two million Brazilian reais to the church in 2007.
The Renascer em Cristo church hit headlines in January when the roof of the main temple collapsed, killing nine people and injuring more than fifty others.
