Robbie Keane linked with Aston Villa, Elano seals £8m move, Vieira’s Arsenal return

The latest transfer gossip, rumours and damned lies

Robbie Keane

Robbie Keane to Aston Villa

With the arrival of Peter Crouch and the ongoing pursuit of Klaas Jan Huntelaar at Spurs, the Daily Mail are speculating that Robbie Keane may pack up his bindle for the second consecutive summer. The team they have plucked from the air is Villa, who would have to match his £70,000-a-week wages.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: Keane may not get on the team sheet every single week, but we can’t see him moving anywhere before the season starts.

Elano to Galatasaray
Despite being chased by both Milan clubs, the unwanted Citizen has moved to Turkey for a fee of around £8m.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: He’s on the front page of Galatasaray’s official site, so this one looks pretty official.

Patrick Vieira to Arsenal
The Mirror are claiming that the midfielder will return to his old club, who will offer the same pay-as-you-play deal as Tottenham. Their source? Ian Wright Wright Wright!

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: We can’t imagine Arsene Wenger disclosing ongoing transfers to anyone, let alone a loudmouth talkSPORT presenter. Plus, we don’t think he is in the habit of resigning former players.

Thanks for spotting the error and confirming that someone is reading this, manc. But you lose pedantry points for ‘denfender’.

Xabi Alonso has handed a formal request for his transfer from Liverpool.
So, its not far that we see him leave Liverpool. But he will always be remembered in our memories.

This video serves as tribute to our dear XABI ALONSO and features his glorious moments at Liverpool .
