I agree with you Richard. Its starting to annoy me how much we are regarded as a joke. Had it been another team like Tottenham, Everton, Fulham and even Sunderland then this rumour would have been accepted with maturity. But since its BLackburn its considered a joke. I know for a fact we can never get Beckham but neother can the clubs mentioned above…

It’s not meant to be spiteful, Richard. I quite like Blackburn and regard the season they won it as the ‘golden era’ of the Premier League. The song simply contains one of the very few references to Blackburn in popular culture.

What’s with your spiteful tone? Blackburn actually won the league back in 94/95, did you forget that? The club has got a history to be proud of and I’m sick of everybody else writing them down.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t for a minute believe Becks will go to Blackburn, that would be ridiculous… But there is still no need to slag off Rovers every chance you get. And yes, it’s the “spoiler bonus” I’m referring to.

It’s unprofessional and childish.
