Gareth Barry: “Don’t hate us”
Ok then we won’t. On second thoughts actually…
There are many things that tend to induce scorn across this small island nation of ours. Bankers, Harriet Harman, racism from participants of Strictly Come Dancing to name but three. New to that list are Manchester City, or at least Gareth Barry seems to think so. Barry, speaking ahead of England vs Belarus tomorrow evening said:
“The people outside of the club may look on us in a different way but it’s something the players, including myself, can deal with.
A lot of money has been ploughed into the club and people on the outside may enjoy seeing us fail rather than go on and achieve something this season. I’m sure that’s where the views are coming from but as a unit I’m sure that can help us and make us stronger.”
Indeed. But what isn’t to like about ostentatious displays of wealth, illegally unsettling players and a manager who defends slapping spectators, stamping on opposing player’s heads and inciting crowd riots?
Do you hate City like the Pussycat Dolls hate this part right here? Let us know below…

David Moyes accused Hughes of illegally unsettling Lescott. Hughes also defended Adebayor’s behaviour that led to a steward being knocked unconscious.

so david moyes said it because a club with a lot of money had the audacity to bid for one of his best players? must be true then.
or maybe the club just made bids through the correct channels, and Everton published on their website that they had rejected them? and city didnt do anything wrong at all.
oh, and it was an arsenal fan that knocked the steward unconscious after barracking a player with personal abuse for 2 hours

It’s strange that people who can’t appreciate satire still continue to visit this site and pitifully attempt to defend their beloved clubs.
ready now! // October 22, 2009 at 12:21 pm
no, no, no…. you can hate us now, we will use that as fuel. maybe your little clubs will fight with every last breath now, but sooner or later you’ll get to feeling ‘ its so unfair man city have such great players ‘ and the moment your players concide this, is the moment they lose the mental battle. Remember man city have truely great players, we will get stronger too, get ready to lose points when u meet the new blues.

I love how Arsenal fans are still sore about the Ade celebration. You deserved it Gooners. It was hilarious.

Is it just me or aren’t Man City the new Keeganesque Newcastle (his first stint). Finally a team that can break The Top 4, who gives a sh*t if there stinking rich, at least they’ve had the class to keep hold of the original manager (unlike Chelski) and are building a side rather than buying the top dogs (may be due to being turned down by Kaka etc I admit. I say Man City=everyone’s 2nd favourite team!!
