More old names on Benitez shopping list

Guess who might be coming back to England? (clue below)

Patrick Vieira

It was reported yesterday that Rafa Benitez might yet look in the direction of Ruud van Nistelrooy in the upcoming transfer window, in a bid to strengthen his Liverpool attack. But, according to the BBC, Ruud isn’t the only Premier League old boy tickling the Spaniard’s mind grapes.

The word on the street is that Rafa is also readying himself to go head-to-head with Spurs in a race to sign 33-year-old Patrick Vieira – once so good at Arsenal, now a little bit flaccid at Inter. The French midfielder, like van Nistelrooy, is keen to get some first team action under his belt in a bid for a World Cup spot.

Plus, apparently, the two clubs will also be doing their damndest to land Diego Forlan, after the Atletico Madrid striker was overheard muttering something about how he wouldn’t mind playing in the Premier League again.

Tell you who else is good Rafa – that Eric Cantona.

He can also try and get Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson to form that effective defensive partnership again.

I don’t think Viera will go to liverpool if Van Nistelrooy is going there!!!

They’ve also got Kenny Dalglish hanging about the place. Tell you what, they should make him lace his boots up on a Saturday, he’d be way better than that bloody Nobble-El-Jar who plays ineffectually. Who does he think he is, a Jedi?

Bloody freeloaders like Dalglish, they make me sick.

Load of old dribble, why would Rafa buy Viera when he already has Lucas and Mascherano.

    The answer is he won’t.

Think that quote from the Guardian needs to be taken out the header, there’s no humour here anymore. Just a load of articles about how shit Rafa is. Pretty boring really.
