Mark Hughes economics class, Keegan insult, and transfers…
One of these men has “done a Keegan”. But which one?
After the outrage following revelations of millions of pounds going to football agents, Mark Hughes took the opportunity to bore everyone into submission with an economics lecture. On the subject of the £13 million forked out by the men in robes at Man City he said:
“There were 35 deals that came up over the summer, so when you think of this turnaround and expenditure there is a rather large figure to come out in terms of agents and their fees – that’s predictable really.”
Yeah, okay, thanks Mark.
Liam Gallagher has been quoted in The Telegraph, comparing his brother Noel’s sudden decision to disband their pop group as similar to the time Kevin Keegs “retired” in 2005.
“I think he’s done a Keegan.”
And in transfer news, Man City have been put on Yellow Alert after Chelsea were met with a pair of rude gesticulating fingers when they cautiously inquired whether £53 million might be enough to prize Sergio Aguero away from Atletico Madrid.
Whilst, according to The Mail, Michael Carrick will not be returning to Spurs any time soon, thank you very much.
