Decent World Cup draw for England!

So all the finger crossing didn’t quite work out, but England still scored a pretty decent draw. As mentioned by Shearer beforehand - in a rare moment of moving honesty and vulnerability - England shouldn’t really fear the USA.
Things are looking good, and there’s even a Group of Death that the boys in white managed to avoid. Great job, Becksie. Great job.

Let the smack-talk begin, limey pricks! I’ve said for years that the USA will win a WC before England win another. I have no designs on winning this one, but we at least have the chance to prolong your misery.

Everybody talks about group G being the group of death but I don’t see it. Group A is pretty much levelled (lets consider France, Mexico and Uruguay had trouble qualifying for the World Cup) what with France playing poorly under Domenech and South Africa being the host nation they can give the other teams in the group a hard time. As far as group G, I only see Brazil and Ivory Coast going thru, Portugal are not that big of a threat and God forbid they lose their star player to injury … and also, Korea DPR in the group of death? Seriously? I don’t think so

I thought the Death group was group D with the Krauts, the Serbs, the Aussies and Ghana. That’d make much more sense.
As for England, I hope Slovenia and USA screw you tossers over, and you don’t even make the playoff phase, for what you did to us in the quals… Bloody wankers.
