The Big Question

Chillax, Man City fans, Robinho ain’t going no place!

Is this man LOVED? Or are you just quite fond of him?

Robinho

Anyone who has ever failed a job interview knows that feeling of self-delusion that comes directly afterwards. “I didn’t want it anyway,” you tell your reflection. “I mean, look at my life, it’s completely brilliant as it is – I love my fans, and they love me.”

And then, at some point – alone, in the dark – you sob. Sob real hard.

Well, the good news is that after all the umming and ahhing, it looks like Robinho won’t be going to Barcelona after all. No. Instead, he’s going to stay with Man City for the rest of his life, persistently battling with Craig Bellamy for a place in the team.

He said this to Football Focus:

“I am very happy here. I think I (will) stay here for five years or ten years, I don’t know.”

“My family is very happy, the fans love me and I love the fans.”

But do the fans love Robinho? Like really love him? That’s the question.

I’ve been tooing and froing over Robinho for a while. Massively over rated or misunderstood. He seems to do f*ck all majority of games and yet still produces a few pieces of magic to wither score or narrowly miss (is he the classic highlights player). Will be interesting to get any City season ticket holders opinions. Would he get in City’s best XI??
