Oh, Sol Campbell’s not going to Man United after all
Yeah, gutted, Sol. Totally gutted
Women of Manchester, put your needle and threads down, and go back to scrubbing the front step – there is no longer any call for stitching “Campbell” over “Ronaldo” on little Tommy’s Man United top. Sol won’t be joining your beloved family team after all.
All week, it’s been in the news. Will he? Won’t he? Might he? Could he? Why would they? Isn’t he a bit bonkers? Does he want to? Do they really want to? What is this? 2005?
And now Ferguson has stepped in and stomped down his big size fours to squash any more silly rumours. As reported in the Telegraph:
“I don’t know where this came from but it is all wrong.”
“Sol Campbell was a great player, but he is not a player we are thinking about getting to come to United.”
