Looks like Robbie Keane will get off lightly… sort of
Another Keane for Celtic
After last week’s Christmas party revelations, some of Harry Redknapp’s choice words suggested that Robbie Keane was on borrowed time. It was all “deal with it” this, and “get it sorted” that. For a moment there, it honestly looked like Keane was going to be taken care of.
Thankfully, it was nothing that a couple of well taken goals from Crouchie couldn’t fix, and now the word from all of the most expensive newspapers is that the Tottenham Sixteen were punished by having to donate money – anywhere between £32,000 and £1 million, depending who you like to read – to the club’s Tottenham Hotspur Foundation Charity, which helps out local kids.
This, presumably, doesn’t mean that it keeps Seven Sisters oiks in caps and tracksuit bottoms. It helps actual kids with problems.
Even so, Keane’s second stint at the club looks likely to end in the New Year, with Redknapp reportedly ready to offload his rebelious captain, most likely in the direction of Celtic.
According to today’s Mirror, Redknapp will be looking to take Celtic’s Polish keeper, Artur Boruc, the other way, what with Cudicini still regretting going motorbiking that time.
