Nightmare

Oh great, now Berbatov’s injured or something

Are United ready to see the back of this man?

Berbatov

When he was jacuzziing himself in his shiny North London bathroom after a hard day at Spurs, young Dimitar Berbatov must have been daydreaming about the glitz and glamour of Manchester life.

The soft grey skies, the warm, sensual gravy oozing from the corners of each deep, rich, earthy chip. And the women. Oh the women. With their pints.

Well, the bad news is that the dream is now turning into a nightmare. He’s having a rubbish time on the pitch and now he’s buggered up his leg.

According to today’s Guardian, a much needed knee op is going to keep him out of both of the Manchester Carling Cup Derbies, and a big one against Arsenal.

Sir Alex, with his soft red face, said this:

“He’s been carrying a knee injury a little bit and we’re trying to get him right.”

“We spoke about maybe a little exploratory operation to see what the issue is with it. We felt we should just try and get it sorted and get him fit again.”

All of which must bode very badly for the dreamy Bulgarian, who really needs to prove his worth in the coming months.

Else, the word on the street is that he’ll be forced to bid farewell to Manchester’s smoky evening sunsets where you can’t quite make out the sun, and never again hear the soft lilting dialect of the local fans.

Instead, he’ll probably be shipped off to sunny Spain or something.

Be warned Berbs.

Others rumoured to be on borrowed time include: Anderson, Ben Foster, and Nemanja Vidic.
