Transfer news: Chelsea and Liverpool updates, and more…

Fellaini – moving South?

Whilst the rest of the nation stands by the window pointing at the snow and nudging one another, hard working sports journalists only know that it’s Winter at the moment because there is a soft breeze blowing in from another kind of window – the transfer one.

Hideous metaphors aside, here’s what we have picked up today, thanks to those men and women busting their guts at The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Sun, The Mirror, The Guardian etc…

After all the big talk of heading off to fight for the cause of a club battling for the Premier League crown, Ruud van Nistelrooy has received a rabbit punch to the goolies with rumours suggesting that Stoke might give him a go, if he fancies it. No worries if not.

Chelsea are not faring too well in their quest to find a striker to play second or third fiddle in their squad, as the Sergio Aguero deal appears to be stuttering to a boring halt. Whilst their other targeted frontman, Edin Dzeko, looks to be heading to AC Milan. The rumour is that they will now turn their attentions to Everton’s midfield man, Fellaini, who is having a great season, and has wonderful hair.

Plus Liverpool appear to have finally landed Maxi Rodriguez, which is good news for them – especially his bezzie mate Javier Mascherano. Now they just need to find a lovely new home for Ryan Babel.

Fellaini to Chelsea is pie in the sky, dreamt up by desperate tabloid hacks
