Fellaini’s grasp of English sparks upsurge in form

“How you say… nice hair!”

During a season where big name players are having a topsy-turvy time of things, Fellaini – Everton’s midfield maestro with preposterous hair – has been something of a revelation. So much so that the Southern cocktail drinkers who make big decisions about Chelsea FC have been rumoured to be considering a financial move for the player.

Speaking in today’s Telegraph, his current boss, David Moyes, puts the player’s marked improvement down to a better grasp of English – notoriously a rather tricky language to master – meaning that he can properly explain exactly what he needs from his midfielders.

“(Last season) I was playing him further forward because he wasn’t disciplined enough.”

“But he can speak a bit of English now. It makes a real difference.”

Robinho, after a shocker against Everton, you would be wise to hit the books.

So that’s the secret. Imagine how good Jamie Carragher could have been if he had learnt English too…
