VOTE: Who should be England’s World Cup goalie?

Oh, for another Banksy!

Gordon Banks

The debates about who should play where for England will rage with increasing ferocity over the coming months. Friends will fall out, young lovers will be forced to go their separate ways due to an inability to agree on the correct line-up of the starting midfield. Old women will write their grandchildren out of their wills for daring to suggest that Michael Owen might be worth another shot.

It’s going to be brutal, and from now until World Cup kick-off, The Spoiler will be presenting these problems, and starting the important discussions, with today’s centred on exactly who should be standing in between the sticks when England come face-to-face with the USA on 12th June.

Legendary keeper Gordan Banks has already expressed his concerns over the lack of a superstar goalie:

“I think that is one of the positions he is going to be thinking about on a regular basis. All of them seem to be in and out of form.”

But who do you think Capello should go for in the biggest tournament of the lot?

Lets us know with a vote and a comment.

This list makes for depressing reading. Can they not just put John Terry in goal? Nobody likes him anyway

It’s a tight one between Hart and James. If Hart’s form continues and he looks good in the warm up’s he’s a better bet. Seems slightly harsh on James as he hasn’t let England down for a while (please insert horrendous error if I’ve missed something).
