BET OF THE DAY

World Cup hosts South Africa won’t suffer a group stage exit

Today’s bet is fairly simple. Back South Africa at 15/8 to get through World Cup Group A – where they are joined by disjointed France, aging Mexico and so-bad-they-were-outclassed-by-Maradona’s-Argentina Uruguay.

The main reason to fancy them is that no World Cup host has ever failed to get through the first round, while they gave a good account of themselves at last summer’s Confederations Cup.

Our love for Steven Pienaar has had no influence whatsoever, honest!

Uruguay and perhaps Mexico are beforehand marked by FIFA.Co. to fail in their games against France and specially South Africa. It’s not a problem of skills, is a problem of ECONOMICS. Apart from that, it’s a stupidity to put South Africa or France above the two Americans.
Money has killed sport, and Football specially.
You will witness a lot of strange refereeing, God’s hands, etc. , so Uruguay and Mexico will have to play against the other two teams…..and FIFA.Co.
