Sticks and Stones

Oh great, Tevez just had another pop at Man United!

Carlos Tevez – doing fine now, thanks… really well, actually.

Tevez

Sex and relationship experts will have noticed that Carlos Tevez has been slowly working his way through all of the important post-break up phases normally reserved for jilted wives/girlfriends, who spent the latter stages of their doomed marriage/relationship turning a blind eye to the fact that their Prince Charming was busily boffing a chick who looked like Wayne Rooney on the side.

First came the reluctant decision to move away. But not too far away. Not home to Argentina, or even to a new town. Just far enough to be out of sight, but always near enough that one womanly thumb remained jammed in the same pie.

Perhaps they’d bump into each other in one of Manchester’s many bars and night clubs? Hey, one night she/he could even pop over to return a few sets of old jogging bottoms, leg oils, and training tops, and after a few drinks, one thing might lead to another – you know, just for old time’s sake at first - but then it might all work out again?

They just need a bit of breathing space. That’s all.

Then came the first reunion. Tevez will have mulled hard over this one – hoping for a warm reception, an admission that Man United might have been wrong. Damn it, the crowd might even tearfully chant “Car-los Tev-ez!”, begging her/him to return home. Yeah, that didn’t quite happen.

And now, Phase Three is upon us – the lady has moved on, but as the playwrite William Congreve (not, as often assumed, Shakespeare) put it so well:

“Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, nor Hell a fury like a woman scorned.”

The gloves have finally come off. First, there was the exchange of rude gestures between Tev and Nev. And now, as reported in today’s Daily Mirror, the little wolf-like striker has been really talking up the new Man in his life:

“I feel I’ve shown I’m at the right club now. Everyone knows how important the fans are at this club and, if I make them happy, it’s an honour.”

“I think the United fans know I tried hard. City is my club now, a place where I feel part of everything. Maybe this wasn’t always the way at United.”

“I wasn’t happy about some things there.”

Next up, Phase Four – humiliating your old love in front of all of their buddies on their home turf. Aka: Sweet revenge.

Wat a wanker, he needs to keep his ugly gob shut, all the people who slightest amount of respect for him can see who he really is.

Carlos…get lost, enjoy wastelands ..you seem like a perfect fit.

Yes he is defintley the woman scorned. Good one! It’s kinda sad the way he keeps talking up his rebound relationship. Whatever good he did for the United is forgotten in the face of his incessant yammering by the way. Shuddup already, sheesh!
